ACP Wind Down:

Why and when will ACP be winding down?

Due to a depletion of funds, the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is set to wind down soon (according to the FCC reference). Initially, Congress allocated approximately $14.2 billion for ACP. However, the high volume of users and new registrations has accelerated the exhaustion of funds this spring.  While no additional funding has been secured yet, the situation is uncertain, and we encourage you to maintain a positive outlook based on the latest news (outlined in Benton Institute for Broadband & Society reference). Furthermore, according to The White House’s ACP extension statement in 2023, they are actively pursuing additional funds for the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) through at least December 2024 and likely beyond. As a result, we have compelling reasons to believe.

According to the latest information from the Federal Communication Commission (FCC), ACP will cease accepting new enrollments by the end of February 7, 2024. This means that no new applications will be accepted from February 8, 2024, onward. But don’t worry! From now until there’s an announcement of ACP’s final date, your phone service will continue uninterrupted.

What should I do to keep my phone service after ACP winds down completely?

Don’t worry, Clarity Wireless has options for you!

I am currently enrolled in ACP, what will happen to my service?

Customers will start to receive notices from Clarity Wireless about the end of the ACP program. This information will include updates, timing of the end of the program and the impact of loss of the benefit.

Can I still enroll for Clarity Wireless ACP at this time?

Due to the enrollment shut down on February 7th 2024, according to the FCC, Clarity Wireless will not be accepting new applicants after this date. For more information, please visit the FCC website.
